DescriptionAnglo-Saxon spearhead with broken shaft. The blade is 'kite shaped' and is relatively smooth on both edges. Inside the broken end of the shaft is an impression of a small amount of organic material, presumably from the wooden handle that once attached to the spearhead. The spearhead shows signs of corrosion, and has been previously coated and consolidated in the past.
