الوصفA Roman Setertius of Hadrian, issued around AD 125-130. The heads side shows a bust of Hadrian facing right with the inscription HADRIANVS AVG COSIII PP - or Hadrian Augustus, three times consul, Pater Patriae (Father of the Fatherland). The reverse shows Aequitas, the personification of justice or equality, holding a sceptre and scales. The only visible inscription is SC - Senatus Consulto - indicating the value of the coin had been set by the senate. Hadrian travelled the Roman empire, often commissioning buildings or improvements where he went. He commissioned Hadrian's Wall, arguably the most significant Romano-British structure in the country.
