DescriptionPincushion case. Made of turned wood, painted yellow on exterior with red, green and black inscription. Pincushion in lower part with lid The tape measure, in the form of a house, screws onto the lid. Sewing aid in three parts made from turned wood. The base unscrews from the lid to reveal a white woollen pin cushion.The wooden base is painted with black, green and red paint in a diamond pattern. On top of the lid is a tape measure, which also unscrews. The lid is painted with green, black and red floral detail with a green and black illegible inscription. The part housing the tape measure circular is of hollow wood with a roof, painted with yellow and black windows and a red door. The winder for the tape measure forms the chimney. The cotton (?) tape unwinds form a slit in the 'door'. It only has four markings at intervals of 55 mm (presumably for a specific purpose).
