DescriptionScene in the Castle Park Bailey of bullock roast on the occasion of the marriage of H.R.H The Prince of Wales, description of committee below the photograph.Copy and photocopy in 'Castle Park Duplicates and Photocopies' folder in A2.5. 12.44 is written on the back of one of the copies.Note on the back of one of the copies states that 'The cook is called Sheldrake who had a resaurant in Colchester'. On the bottom of another copy is the paragraph - 'This shows an Ox being roasted whole to celebrate the marriage of the Prince of Wales - later Edward VII on March 10th 1863. The bullock weighed 30 score - 600lbs. The spit was turned by steam machinery. The men in the group were the Mayor and Council, Colchester, England.'
