Modern print of a b/w photograph showing a queue of public on the bridge of Colchester Castle Museum on its re-opening on 12th July 1935. The castle had shut in December 1934 for a major refurbishment including shoring up the vaults and fitting a roof. it is assumed that the original negative for this image is within the museum's collections but is untraced. coincides with 80th anniversary of the re-opening of the museum in 1935 and the completion of the new ballustrading for the bridge on ?.7.2015 which replaced those in the photograph.
