DescriptionThis is a carving of the Old Windmill in East Bergholt. It comprises two triangular pieces of wood, one with a windmill and the other is carved with John Constable's signature and dated 1792. The wood is from the windmill which belonged to Constable's father Golding and later sold by Abram Constable in 1846.
