DescriptionA stay busk with carved design of a heart at the top, a heart and diamond geometric design down to the bottom where 1756 and CAP is carved. The back is undecorated. It has EXC and EC engraved into it. It was made some time before 1756. The object was found behind panelling when demolishing the Lamb Inn. It is made of pear wood .This stay was selected for the Wicked Spirits exhibition as it relates to items being buried for magical protection.
