Pale pink silk jumps with two cream striped silk shoulder straps. Lining of cream silk over linen. Front fastening - 20 pairs of offset eyelet holes, between which are three pairs of pink silk tabs with 3 dorset buttons and button holes above an insert of cream striped silk with seven button holes (sewn closed) & back fastening - 15 pairs of offset eyelet holes & 2 eyelet hole on two tabs, two tabs in either side at the back & constructed from several different pieces of silk patched together which shows that it has been altered & tabbed around the waist. Cream striped silk (with button holes) may be pieces from a man's waistcoat that have been recycled. About 1800.
