DescriptionGentleman's silk waistcoat of cream and green vertical stripes with red details. Late 18th century. Formerly belonged to the Tabor family of Colchester. Stand up collar & front of waistcoat made from vertical green and cream vertical stripes with gold flecks & cream stripes are wider and have small maroon patterns & single breasted, with nine Macclesfield embroidered buttons & two front hip 'concealed' pockets & back of cream woollen woven fabric, in two panels & lining of an ivory colour woollen fabric, slightly different under the arms & inside hem lined with cream silk fabric & three vents in bottom of back
