DescriptionEmbroidered agricultural smock, Grey heavy cotton drill & vee neck with button down collar and button at centre of neckline (buttons of dyed bone?) & full length sleeves, smocked at the wrist and shoulder - left sleeve has been patched on the back & two metal buttons on either cuff & bottom length & decoration on centre front under neckline is the Prince of Wales' badge - three feathers in a crown with the motto 'ICH DEIN' (I Serve) & three feather shape is reflected in the rest of the embroidered pattern around the collar, shoulders and neckline - all feather stitched & rest of garment is quite plain & buttons inscribed 'best ring edge'. Circa 1840-1860.
