Cream moire silk dress with very full sleeves rouleau hem. Dated from the 1830's. Large, shallow neckline edged with two rows of silk piping & drawstring fastening at back of neck with two brass hooks and eyes & sleeves are full length, very full at the top, narrowing to the wrist & shoulders and cuffs decorated with vandyked petals & centre back and centre front gathered onto a 2 in waist band, two more hooks and eyes at centre back on waist & skirt is gored, front and sides & organ pleats at centre back of waistband & stylised bows just above hem, large enough to be padded to give three dimensional look & rouleau hem, two padded bands.
