An enamelled metal patch pot, with lid inscribed 'The Gift is small, But Love is all' around two figures - a man and woman. The lid is green, and base is white and is dated from 18th century. In the late 18th century, they had started to go out of fashion. They contained decorative patches used to cover scars caused by diseases such as smallpox and syphilis.
