White cotton lawn pelisse or pelisse robe with broderie anglais decoration and long sleeves with puffed top. Circa 1818.form: ground length & round neck with three tiered broderie anglais collar with scalloped edge & long sleeves with piping and frill at wrist and puffs at shoulders & bodice with empire waistline and broderie anglais insertions from shoulders to points at back and front & with belt sewn at back, button fastening missing & darts to shape bust & fastens at front of bodice with six hook and eyes & skirt, cartridge pleated at back waist, is open at the front & skirt opening and hem edged with three rows of piping (formed by sewing cord under the fabric) and scalloped broderie anglais
