DescriptionBrooch in the form of a locket of hair. Gold setting. The front of the brooch has a gold border surrounding a window of glass. Sitting in this is a swirled lock of hair with a small pressed or paper flower and two miniature gold metal coils - all held together by a small white bead motif. The back of the aperture is blue. There is an inscription on the back . With a metal pin fastening. Friendship locket given by Catherine Hammond to Sarah Finch, containing a lock of hair and an inscription on the back. Late 18th century - 1804.
