Lady's burnt orange velvet hat with a pleated brim with a turned up edge. The crown is made of two wide bands of fabric with a narrow bow at the back. Lined with mushroom pink rayon and a petersham band. 1963. Hat of burnt orange rayon (?) velvet which is over a white stiffened net (buckram?). Crown is constructed of a circle of fabric at the top and two wide bands of fabric creating the height and is decorated with a bow of the same fabric at the back. Brim is pleated to the crown around the front where it is wider and turned up at the edge and narrows at the back. Inside has a white petersham head band and is lined in a mushroom pink rayon.
