suit, summer suit

Lady's three piece summer suit of green seersucker cotton consisting of bolero, tunic blouse and skirt. Home made. 1950-51. Bolero: green seersucker cotton & collarless & sleeveless & no centre fastening & constructed from three panels, one at the back and one either side at the front & front panels are shaped with darts & finishes just below bust. Blouse: green seersucker cotton & rounded vee neck at front, no collar & constructed from one panel on the back and two on the front & shaped by darts. Skirt: green seersucker cotton, slightly lighter than the blouse and bolero & waist band & left side fastening of button on waistband and four poppers in placket & large patch pocket on front right of skirt at a slight angle & calf length & constructed from four panels.
