The brim is wider at the front and sides than at the back where it turns up. Crown is decorated with a lighter brown and black woven braid which is turned over on itself at the front and with a flattened bow at the back. Dyed orange cut feathers decorate the front and come out of the twist in the braid. Crown has been cut and re-sewn (probably at home) to shorten the height. Piece of narrow black elastic sewn on each side of the inside. Remains of a stamp (makers label?) in cream on the inside of crown. Circa 1935.
