petticoat, waist petticoat

White cotton waist petticoat with rows of pintucks and diamond pattern lace inserts above hem. 1900-1918. White cotton waist petticoat & waistband has been taken in by a pleat either side of the button & fastens with one linen covered button at back & skirt is widely pleated onto waistband & constructed from four panels & decoration 560mm from the top of the petticoat & decorated with a wide tuck, two pin tucks and hemmed with a gathered frill & then a deep overfrill attached 355mm from bottom of petticoat, which is gathered and consists of five rows of plain cotton with pin tucks, interspersed with four rows of lace with diamond pattern, and edged with lace.
