Wedding dress, white man made lace with layered bouffant style skirt. Knee length. 1956-58. Form: wide boat neckline & long unlined sleeves with points over back of hand and popper wrist fastening & shaped and waisted bodice, lined with rayon & centre back zip fastening (20 in 'Opti' nylon), with hook and eye at top & waist encircled by tucks, with box to left hand side front & skirt bouffant and gathered, with lace doubled at front and swept over left side giving an apron appearance & stiff hem of terylene and 1 1/2in white machine embroidery pattern & sewn in petticoat of stiff net with frill at hem and plain rayon cut on the cross and stiff muslin with 10 1/2 in frill at hem
