suit, three-piece suit

Man's three-piece suit of grey tweed consisting of jacket, waistcoat and trousers. Label - Montagu Burton Ltd., Leeds 9. By Appointment. Jacket: Wool tweed with grey, blue, black and red thread. Turn down collar and small revers. Set-in sleeves with 3 small plastic buttons and false buttonholes at wrist. Single breasted, 2 button and buttonhole fastening. Breast pocket left side; hip pocket each side with flaps. 7in.centre back vent. Lining of brown spotted rayon with creamself striped rayon in sleeves. Inside breast pocket right side, small pocket at waist level left side. Label on outside of inside pocket and with makers label on inside of pocket. Waistcoat: Single breasted, sleeveless, centre front fastening of 6 small plastic buttons and holes. Front goes to point each side. 2 pockets each side at front. Lining of cream slef striped rayon. Back made from brown spotted lining material with 1 in. wide straps of same material at waist level each side, joined with a metal buckle for tightening. Trousers: 19cm plastic zip fly fastening centre front, with white plastic button and two metal hook fastenings on a 9cm tab on the waist. Pleat each side of front onto waistband. Hip pocket each side, slanted. Back pocket over right buttock with button and button hole fastening. Adjustable band each side at waist with 2 buttons and button holes.
