Pantomime costume. Green ball dress and elaborate head dress, probably for Ugly Sister, used in Cinderella at the Mercury Theatre, 1992-1993. Green and turquoise synthetic fabric. Large frilly green sheer collar with dark green satin bow collar. Yoke of pale green fabric edged with frill of sheer fabric with sequin trim. Fitted long sleeves of the turquoise fabric, with puffed sheer oversleeve bound in five places with dark green satin fabric. Main body of dress is turquoise with vertical green appliqued strips. At the bottom of each stripe is a large silver plastic sequin. Double green frill at hem. Fastens centre back with hooks and eyes alternating with press studs. Waist belt of dark green satin fabric that fastens at back under bow. Large split at bottom dress at back.Dark green satin head band with bow and velcro to fasten. Three large feathers in different shades of green emerge from centre of band. Two long green fabric flowers with wire stems and beads at the end also mounted in centre of band.
