suit, trouser suit

Ladies brown/green wool suit consisting of a jacket and trousers with a belt. Labelled 'Lisandra Sarasola' and 'M' (medium). Purchased from Apparel Tailoring, East Hill, Colchester for £350 in 1991. Jacket: The jacket is loose fitting and hangs freely - it has no fastenings. It has a turn down collar and lapels that reach almost to the bottom of the jacket. There are two large pockets on the front. There is a 5cm cap around the top of the sleeves where they are sewn onto the main body of the jacket, the sleeves themselves are deep. There are two shoulder pads. Trousers: The trousers are long and have a wide leg with creases at the front and back. There are two pockets opening at the side seams at the hips. The trousers have a leather belt in a matching colour. The belt fastens by velcro and has no buckle of any kind.
