DescriptionA small enamelled white and pink patch box. The lid screws on and is painted with "Remember the giver". Patch boxes like these were most fashionable in the mid-18th century and often given as gifts. Face patches have been used throughout the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries as either fashion trends or to cover up skin blemishes.
