DescriptionThis is a Roman bone gaming counter. Counters were made from a variety of materials such as glass, bone and ceramic. They would have been used to play games on boards or possibly on make-shift boards drawn on the ground or on walls of buildings. The counter is decorated with concentric rings, possibly produced through turning on a lathe.
