DescriptionRoman leaded bronze dice box from Sheepen, Colchester. Cylindrical, lathe turned, with flared base. Only the lower half survives. Decorated with incised horizontal pairs of bands around the circumference. The dice box was burnt during the Boudican revolt and destruction of Colchester.
