DescriptionPuddingstone quern , upper stone fragment. Grinding surface slightly concave, band (probably for an iron hoop) above the rim, and possible trace of a handle hole. Roman.The quern was examined by Professor David P.S. Peacock (University of Southampton) on 29 April 2010 and declared in the hearing of Dr Paul R. Sealey to be a conglomerate from a source in Normandy in the Fécamp region
