DescriptionFine type Roman hand mirror. Disc very fragmentary and heavily repaired. 7 primary larger fragments (consisting of smaller fragments glued together) and multiple other smaller fragments. Handle complete but damaged. Also bagged with a circular copper-alloy ?modern mount (75mm diameter) with glue adhering to the surface. Reflecting Surface: Polished surface. Disc convex with consistent thickness across the disc, but slightly oblong in form rather than circular. No decoration on the reflecting surface. Patches of green and black corrosion. Rear: Polished, concave, with extensive green corrosion. One pair of concentric circle decoration in the centre. Location of handle attachment not visible. Handle: Single loop handle, roughly finished. Terminal knob broken off. Triangular disc support broken off. Two-stepped side arms, damaged on one side.
