DescriptionA flagon made of buff ceramic. Decorating the front of the neck is a female head. It has a handle made of three ribbed lines which are flattened at the mouth. The body is decorated with 7 bands of brown paint and the head has been painted to pick out the features and hair. It isn't clear whether this is meant to represent an actual individual or a generic female face. Other objects with women represented on them have been interpreted as goddesses, such as Juno or Minerva, but it is not clear in this case.
