DescriptionSeveral sherds from the rim of a greyware vessel with graffiti on the outer body. The inscription possibly reads ENERVINVS. This isn't a standard Latin word or recognised name, making it difficult to interpret. The closest reference is 'enervatus', meaning weakened. If it is a name, the child may have been a weak baby and named to reflect this. Alternatively the contents of the vessel may have been intended to weaken the person consuming it.Former curator interpreted the inscription as FAERVIAVS.
