DescriptionA Roman flagon (type Camulodunum 154), with a funnel neck and a rim consisting of four rings and a thick, flattened lip. The fabric is an orange-buff colour, probably a local Colchester ware. This object was found in a high status burial known as the 'Child's Grave', where it is the only of four flagons to be produced locally. The other pottery vessels from the grave come from France.
