DescriptionA Roman flagon (Déchelette 60 type) with a fine off-white fabric and yellow-green glaze. The body is globular in shape, with a pedestalled foot. There is moulded decoration with motifs known as: 'corded cigars' set between festoons whose terminals end in rosettes. The pottery is known as central Gaulish lead-glazed wares. This was a foreign import from Gaul, France, which was found in a high status burial, known as the 'Child's Grave'.
