DescriptionModern intaglio of Minerva, wearing a long, belted peplos stands to the front facing right, holding her spear vertically in front of her in her left hand and a small round shield in her right hand. The figure is elongated and may be compared with the figure of Minerva on an intaglio in the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge (Scarisbrick 1994: 336-7, No.707). Eighteenth century.
