DescriptionVessel made of fired clay with a brown glaze with blackened bottom. Formed of two pointed oval chambers set side by side, one with a spout at one end and the other with a hole in the middle (saqa tabua). An overarching handle secures them together. Decorated with raised lines and dots. From Sir Cecil Rodwell GCMG, a British colonial administrator, Governor of Southern Rhodesia, British Guiana, and Fiji (1918-1924). Handwritten note with one of the pots: 'Fijian pottery/Infant Chief's toilet set/presented to Governor Sir Cecil Rodwell/on the birth of his youngest son in Fiji, 1923'.
