DescriptionAdze blade made of stone (basalt), partially ground, straight edge. Two patches of historic gum or glue used to secure it to a mount(?). Marked in black ink: '1924-33' and in white ink in a box: 'Easter Island'. Stuck-on label: 'Easter Id ?dge' [Routledge]. Excavated on the Katherine Routledge expedition. Presented by Mr James Reid Moir and Dr Henry Balfour (of the Pitt River Museum).
