DescriptionCeremonial paddle with very large flat leaf-shaped blade made of wood, with shark tooth pattern carving over whole surface and a large round butt decorated with small anthropomorphic heads )some are broken). The shaft is round in section. The front of the blade is decorated with zigzag designs and the back is covered in circular sun motifs carved in sections. A metal fixing is nailed to the butt end for suspension. Potentially a gift of Admiral Page.
