DescriptionCharm made of wood encased in a woven vegetable fibre pouch. The wooden piece is pointed at both ends with a beak-type cut-out at this other. This end is incised with decoration and infilled with lime. A circular needle or piece of metal is embedded in the pouch. Collected in Port Moresby, Woodlark Island and Samarai and purchased from Mrs. A.E. Cockrill, 24 Jeffries Road, Ipswich.
