DescriptionHairstyle of c. 1670-80 The Vesey family had lived at Hintlesham Hall (between Ipswich and Hadleigh) since the reign of King Henry VIII. Charles was the eldest of six sons and inherited the Hall. He is shown with natural long and slightly curly hair, although it might have been artificially padded to enhance its volume. Purchased from W. H. Booth.
