Descriptionlong Anglo-Saxon bone needle. At one end, the bone has an oval cross section, and there is a hole pierced through the bone. Perhaps this is evidence of the working of the bone. The needle tapers to a sharp point. Approximately half way down the needle, there are very fine incised lines.
