F.M. Ogilvie Case 40: Lesser Spotted Woodpecker

Case containing one male Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and three nestlings. Lesser spotted woodpeckers usually nest high up in trees, these birds were found nesting in a fence post, and the scene was re-created faithfully according to F. M. Ogilvie's description. The case was built by Thomas Edward Gunn at the request of Fergus Menteith Ogilvie.
