DescriptionEarthenware spill vase in the form of a two-tailed mermaid holding two striped shell-like cornucopias. There is a classical style vase with asp handles on her head. All sit on a platform base. It has a polychrome colour design.The object has been identified as part of the LGBT+ collections as it depicts a mermaid. Mermaids have a history of association with the LGBT+ community. There is a charity that offers support for Trans children and parents called “Mermaids”. Also, the Hans Christian Anderson novel 'The Little Mermaid' was written as an expression of the author's unrequited love for a man named Edvard Collin.
