DescriptionInstrument made of a cylinder of bamboo in the style of a recorder with a mouthpiece at the top, an open end and five holes. Incised decoration or checkerboard, zig-zag and diamonds. Likely European made or made for a European as unusual for Fiji where flutes are side blown using the nostril. From Mr Alfred Bell. Index card with drawing reads 'NB This specimen was previously in the possession of F.W. Harmer at Cringleford'.
