DescriptionIncomplete Anglo-Saxon bone comb. Triangular back plate decorated with ring and dot ornament, on both sides of the comb. 5 metal rivets survive, joining the two backplates to the internal pieces of the comb, which have the teeth attached. Many of the teeth are missing, and around a third of the two triangular plates does not survive. The middle, internal part of the comb between the two back plates is made up of four pieces.
