DescriptionThe use of this is not known. It is made of beech with iron fittings, and has a lower arm moveable along a ratchet with eight notches, allowing for clamping an object of considerable size. The ratchet tapers to the lower end and is tapered on one side. Three holes are bored through it at the lower end, apparently for attachment to a bench or for suspension. Possibly marked with B217.
