Porcelain teapot, silver-shape or commode shape. Decorated with chinioserie garden scene with three figures including boy trying to catch butterfly. Scene is the same on both sides. Small red sprigs and trails in red on the handle and spout. Detachable circular lid with onion-shaped knob that is pierced. Turret-style opening for lid to slot into., label on base has hand-written inscription 'New Hall possibly Wirksworth circa 1770'
