DescriptionPorcelain dessert dish or tray, moulded with scallop shell ridging on underside. Stands on three feet with red coral, shells and seaweed modelled in relief. Decorated with kakiemon style of orange, blue, gold and green chinoiserie scene consisting of blossom tree, pair of birds, flower and flying insects, with orange decorative band around rim. This is possibly the 'Quail and Millet' pattern. The inside rim is painted with border of double line of red scrolls broken by 4 small flower motifs in gold. Underside edge touched on rim with pink., hand-painted orange mark possibly a '3/4', probably decorator mark
