DescriptionDriving licence with red cover, registered by Ipswich Borough Council made out to Pansy Joan Blomfield, 1952 - 1953. Includes a provisional licence 1941-1942 and a penalty for speeding in 1953. IPSMG: R.2017.4 is a collection of documents and ephemera relating to Pansy Wash and Samuel Blomfield (known as Kate and Robert), donated by Pansy's sister, Deanna Norris. The couple lived in Ipswich (social housing) during and after WW2. Pansy was a mechanical transport driver for the RAF and Samuel was in the army. After the war Pansy worked for Harvey's clothing factory and later delivered parts to garages. Samuel was a guardsman for the London North Eastern Railway.
