DescriptionDress which was hand painted by Sir Alfred Munnings and worn as a ballgown by Lady Violet Munnings. The ballgown of turquoise blue silk has a full crinoline skirt decorated with gold wire to represent wine stems and large bunches of grapes in pinks with black leaves. A bolero bodice which has full leg o' mutton sleeves is trimmed with wide pink braid around the neck edge and down the centre of the sleeves.
