DescriptionAnglo-Saxon iron pail mounts and handle. The pail mount is made of an arched iron handle with upturned hooks at each end. There are two separate hooks which would have been nailed to a wooden pail. The nails survive on the back of the hooks. The hooks have pierced holes through the top which the handle would link into.
