DescriptionThis officer's uniform belonged to Major W Boyce Brown. His dress uniform was worn for formal occasions. The single crown on the shoulder epaulette tells us the later became a mjor. The uniform has a flaming grenade collar badge which is the emblem of the Royal engineers. The word 'Ubique' below means 'everywhere' and is their motto. See history file for handwritten poem 'Elegy' and scrap of paper with address found by a visitor on Friday 29th May 2015, tucked inside fold of pocket.
