DescriptionWe have been inventing tools to cut, dig and exploit the land for thousands of years. Ransomes, an Ipswich company, has been making tools to adapt our landscape since 1789. They created the world’s first lawnmower and steam-powered plough. Two-wheeled plough. Made of wrought iron frame, painted green, with iron beam and two handles. Metal plate: RANSOMES RHA W. The type went out of use c.1965-60.
